Why do you do it? You work so hard (or you should) at getting visitors to come to your site, and then you show them the quickest way to leave your site.
Home Page - NO EXITS!
Your home page should have nothing but links to other web pages on your web site. This is easier said then done. You would usually have an external/internal link ratio. For instance you could have a goal for your web site to have no more than 10% external links on any web page on your site.
