Using the Google Search Engine, I can enter my search term in their text box, and get a page of search engine results that is related to my search term. There is nothing earth shattering about that! It’s the most common thing we do on the internet. Lets use an example. Here is a page of search engine results for the word hill. At the time of the search there were over 400,000,000. Thats a lot of pages to look through. I used the word hill because we are on the Drexel Hill Pa BLOG and most of you reading this article will be doing searches on Drexel Hill, Pa.
Get specific with your searches
When someone on the internet is from Drexel Hill, Pa they usually would type that into the search engine text box to get information about their city. Well lets see what happens when we do a search for Drexel Hill pa. Here are the search engine results for Drexel Hill, Pa. About 550,000 results, still an awful lot of results on our search engine results page.

My ip address is a group of numbers. It represents where the computers would go to find all my great information. It is pretty useless to the general public. We don’t go around memorizing ip addresses. Knowing this, we can eliminate any ideas about using my ip address for finding this web address.
What is my web address?
My web address is more commonly known as a dot come address. An example would be www.ebay.com. Take a look up in the address bar of this browser and look at the address of this site. WOW! Can you imagine trying to tell your friend to type that in to find this site. Trust me, it doesn’t work.
